Hadith Of The Week – Volume 03 Issue 13
“Salman Is One of Us”: Belonging Beyond Borders
Introduction
The 10th of Shawwāl marks the beginning of the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq), a critical moment in early Islamic history. During the tense days before the battle, the brilliant idea of Salman the Persian to dig a trench amazed the Muslim community. As different groups debated his identity, the Prophet Muhammad ended all divisions and honoured him with a timeless statement that redefined belonging in Islam.
حضرت محمد مصطفی (ص): «سَلمانُ مِنّا أهلَ البَیتِ»
“Salman is one of us, the People of the Household.”
