Occasion of reflecting on this Ayah: 8^th of Safar, the passing anniversary of Salman al-Farsi

Introduction

Salman al-Farsi was honoured by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with the name “Salman Muhammadī” because of his high spiritual rank. وَمَنْ يُهَاجِرْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يَجِدْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُرَاغَمًا كَثِيرًا وَسَعَةً وَمَنْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا

“And whoever emigrates in the way of Allah will find on the earth many places of refuge and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant towards Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become due from Allah. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah An-Nisā’, 4:100)
