About the Author:
‘Allamah Hasan Mustafawi (1918–2005) was an eminent 20th-century Iranian Shi’a scholar, jurist, lexicographer, and master of Islamic mysticism (‘irfan). Renowned throughout Islamic academia for his rigorous intellectual method, he synthesized precise linguistic analysis with deep spiritual and philosophical inquiry. He authored dozens of influential works spanning theology, Qur’anic exegesis, and hadith commentary, most notably his monumental multi-volume study al-Tahqiq fi Kalimat al-Qur’an al-Karim (Research into the Words of the Noble Qur’an). His scholarly legacy remains widely celebrated for bridging literal textual hermeneutics with profound gnostic insight.
