Hadith Of The Week – Volume02 Issue36
Together in Faith: Imam Ali’s Call for Unity
Introduction
Muslims across the world celebrate the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); Ahl al-Sunnah traditionally observe it on 12 Rabiʿ al-Awwal and Shia on 17 Rabiʿ al-Awwal, with the days between known as “Unity Week”. To mark this occasion, we turn to the wisdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), who reminds us of the vital importance of unity within the Muslim Ummah:
Imam Ali (AS): “Indeed, the Hand of Allah is with the community. Beware of division, for the isolated one among people is for Satan just as the stray sheep is for the wolf.” (Bihār al-Anwār, vol. 33, p. 372)
