September 19th – 15th of Rabi’ al-Awwal:
Imam Ali (as) joined the Prophet Muhammad (sa) after the Prophet’s migration (Hijra) from Makkah to Medina in the first year of the Islamic calendar (622 CE).
After the Prophet migrated to Medina, Imam Ali remained in Makkah for a few days to settle important matters, including returning entrusted items to their rightful owners. After completing these tasks, he set out for Medina, accompanied by members of the Prophet’s family.
The meeting between Imam Ali and the Prophet took place at Quba, a village near Medina, where the Prophet had stopped and stayed for several days. The Prophet warmly welcomed Imam Ali when he arrived. Afterward, they continued together to enter Medina, marking a significant moment in the early history of Islam.
September 20th – 16th of Rabi’ al-Awwal:
Marks the day, when the location for building the Mosque of Medina was chosen by the Prophet, at the spot where his camel rested, and the land was purchased in the first year of the Hijri calendar.
September 21st-17th of Rabi’ al-Awwal:
Marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (as and his family) in the first year of elephant known as (Amul Feel)) according to Shia scholars, and it is also observed as the Day of Ethics and Compassion. The end of Unity week.
September 21st -17th of Rabi’ al-Awwal:
Marks the birth of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (as) in hijri year of 83.
September 21st:
Marks the beginning of the imposed war by Saddam’s regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the beginning of Sacred Defence Week.
