In the name of Allah

لَّا تُدْرِكُهُ الْأَبْصَارُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الْأَبْصَارَ

“No eye can see Him, though He sees all eyes.”

Surah Al-An’am, Ayah 103:

The educational messages of this verse are outlined in below:

Messages for Children and Adolescents:

  • Always Seen by Allah SWT:

Remember, you are always being seen, even when you think no one is watching. Be mindful that actions you avoid in front of others should never be done in private because you are always in Allah SWT’s sight.

  • Strengthen Faith in Allah SWT’s Presence:

The inability to see Allah SWT should never weaken your belief in His existence. Even though eyes cannot perceive Him, all of creation is a sign of His presence. Those who believe in Allah SWT never feel alone.

Messages for Parents:

  • Instilling Self-Control:

Parental supervision alone cannot prevent children from making mistakes. They need to develop self-control. The belief that they are always in Allah SWT’s view can strengthen their sense of self-discipline.

  • Nurturing Belief in Allah SWT:

Belief in the first part of this verse sets the foundation for the effectiveness of the second part. Therefore, it is the parents’ duty to cultivate a strong belief in the existence of Allah SWT from a young age. This belief naturally improves their children’s behaviour and character.

Messages for Mosques and Cultural Centres:

  • Fostering Faith in Allah SWT:

Strengthening faith in Allah SWT among the new generation should be the primary mission of mosques and cultural centres, especially in an era where false spiritualities and incorrect beliefs are prevalent.

  • Promoting Inner Awareness:

Encourage a culture of inner awareness and reflection, guiding individuals to understand that Allah SWT’s watchful presence is the ultimate motivator for righteous living, beyond the approval of others.

Messages for Muslim Communities:

  • Healthy Society:

A society that relies on constant external supervision by others to maintain goodness is not a healthy society. Community members should learn that by believing in Allah SWT and His continuous observation, they can achieve self-control and always feel that they are in the presence of Allah SWT.

  • Encouraging Integrity and Accountability:

Develop a community culture that values integrity and personal accountability, driven by the awareness of Allah SWT’s ever-present gaze, which transcends human supervision and encourages genuine moral conduct.
